What a piece of work is cat. One comes to Tabby’s Place “feral,” untouchable and uninterested in humanity (as the story goes). One comes to the sanctuary with a rap sheet of offenses, all in the general bucket of “attempting to annihilate one’s own species.” And then they both just decide to start over.
There are, in fact, some things about Tabby’s Place that are undeniably el Stinko. Actually, they all boil down to one: we can’t rescue every single cat.
If you spend much time at Tabby’s Place, you’ll learn to have an eye for something quite essential: the best interest of the cat. By “the cat,” I mean the individual cat; and, I’m learning, “best interest” is by no means one-size-fits-all.
